I started my journey in adult education many years ago. One of my goals was being an ordained minister in the Methodist church, but I had trouble reading the Holy Bible. Most recently, I spent two years at CURET. I was able to function in a way that I could read the Bible without any hesitation. I found myself before my congregation reading words that I thought I would never have been able to pronounce. I’m now looking to help others to get to a place where they are comfortable with their reading, and to help them achieve their goals in education. I have recently been selected to serve as a Vice President of the Board of VALUE, a national organization made up of adult learner leaders from across the country.
